Image Analysis
Ming Smith untitled, New York, NY, July 4, 1998
In this image I can see people and a crowd behind which Im guessing is a group of friends standing on the street. The photo was taken blurry so you cannot see the peoples faces but I can tell that they're playing with sparklers. The time of day is probably in the evening as the sky is looking dull. There are no vibrant colours in this image. This photographer got people to stand in a line with the sparklers. The genre of this photograph is street photography and the theme was 'creative use of light'. In addition, I think this photo relates to bonfire night because the day syncs (4th July)
In my recreation I am going to have my partner hold a light to show the sparkler and we're going to photograph in a dark room so the light stands out more.

Recreation
In the actual photoshoot I used my phone light, red plastic and my friend was behind the phone. We took the photos inside the dark room and the back of the classroom next to the back drop.
We went to the dark room where the lights were already red after that I covered the camera lenses with the red plastic, it was scratched so it gave it the 'firework affect'.
After trying in the dark room we left and used the back of the classroom where there was more natural light and I took some more photos.
For next time, something I would change and do differently would maybe be the colour of the colour of the plastic and if we had more time I would have been able to take more pictures.
